I thought there was discussion about being able to rearange bookmarks within a folder in version 4. It seems that the rearanging capabilities are the same as before. Am I thinking of something discussed for 4.1? Or did I read more into the rearanging abilities than was discussed? I would like to move bookmarks up or down within a folder rather than only sorted by books or dates.

Also, I thought there was to be topical notes that aren't linked to a verse where folders and subfolders (similar to the bookmark folders) can be created for them. Is that for a future version, or is it that I didn't see it?

There is a 4.1 beta that has notes not attached to a verse, plus folders for notes.  This hasn't been released in any product yet.

Sorting of bookmarks (or, rather, user-sorting of bookmarks) isn't in any beta yet, but it's on the list of things-to-do.

When you get to the user sorting I like the way you can move entries in the favorites list in the phone application on the phone. If you touch on the far right while in the edit mode you can drag the entry to the desired location. Or perhaps the way you can move the position of icons on the screen.

Perhaps you could add a "Bookmarks Editor" to the website, similar to the Notes Editor, so that the bookmarks could be rearranged and then restored like notes are now?

That's in the plan already. I'm just not sure how soon it's coming, as we have a lot on our plate right now. It is coming, though.

I have a list of bookmarks and some of them I would like to make a folder and add just part of them to that folder. Is there a way to do this? Or can you only add to a folder if you are currently reading verses and doing a bookmark? Is there any way to drag them into a folder or some other way to put them in there?

You should be able to tap Edit in the Bookmark list, then move bookmarks to a specified folder.

How do you create a folder in book marks?

Tap on "Bookmarks" at the bottom of the reader screen, then, when in the bookmarks screen, tap the folder icon at the top.

Now that's the problem. After the last update, there is now no folder icon to tap on. I have one folder that I made before the last update. But no way to make new ones.

Huh? What update are you talking about? The top of the bookmarks screen should have an icon with a folder (with a + sign inside it) at the top.

What version are you using? Tap on Tools, Options, scroll to the bottom and tap on "About Mantis Bible Study" to see the version you're using.

Ahh... You are right. The icon with the + looked like a picture, so I did not think I could press it. Thank you.
