Can't download purchases onto new device

Glory to Jesus Christ!

I'm having trouble downloading my purchases onto a new device. I'm logged on with my username/password in the app but it doesn't recognize my purchases; in order to get them on the device, I would have to re-purchase. I have my purchases downloaded and installed on my two other devices-- no problems. But having a problem with this one. Is there a limit to the number of devices onto which the purchases can be installed?

The device in question, BTW, is an ipod touch. The other two devices without the problem are the iphone and ipad.

If you have exceeded the maximum number of devices on an account, you just need to email support so we can reset your user name. That will fix it.
