I have the latest version 4.9.11 installed and the tap-and-hold "dict" option does absolutely nothing.
I also have a King James Distionary installed that seems to be incomplete.
I own other King James Dictionaries with numerous entires that seem to missing
from the version I have downloaed from you folks. Whats going On?

You can email the specific examples to support and we can research it. The "Dict" option does work if you choose words that exist in one of your included dictionaries.

I just tried several words in Exodus 6:6 on the DRB translation ("deliver" and "service") and I get something for each from VINE which I have loaded. Nothing from EBD, FBD, HBN TNTT which I also have loaded.
Same thing when I use the ESV translation but the words are "deliver" and "slavery".
When I use the NAS with Strongs turned off I get the same for "deliver" (just VINE) but when I select 'bondage" I get EBD, TNTT and VINE highlighted.

This is when I use the 'Dict" feature not the "Define" feature.

So what I am saying is that it works for me.

I too am now having trouble with tap and hold; neither find nor dictionary return any results on my iphone 3GS.

I checked tap and hold with ver 4.9.10 and iOS4 and both seemed to work well. I have updated to 4.9.11 and remain with iOS4 and now have the problem.

Which leads to my question; when the changes in the new OS are discovered and the Bible software changed to address the issues in the OS, will problems occur with the Bible software if I remain with the old OS? I normally don't upgrade to a new OS version immediately so the bugs can be discovered and worked out. My Mantis Bible is more useful to me than Siri, the Cloud or consolidated Reminders would be.

Thanks for a great product and the continual updates to match the OS changes. I try to buy a couple of bible versions or commentaries each year to support your efforts. It is unusual to find a product that offers what amounts to a lifetime license for the initial purchase price. If you guys ever get tired of the complaints and close shop, we users will be sunk at the next OS update. But we all have been blessed by the use of your products. Thanks!

This is a strange bug. My Mantis define is working fine pulling up multiplue dictionaries that I have. I'm sure you've thought about this but could it be that the word your trying to define is only defined in one of your volumes? Maybe try searching other words and see if more than Vines comes up in those words. I know thats a simple solution but I noticed this in mine.
