I started with the free reader but have since bought many Bibles inlcuding NIV (and hopefully soon New Living Translation :)) How do I get the 4.5 update. I understand that the free reader does not update yet but when you by a bible online does that not update you from the free reader?

The free version of Mantis will be updated to 4.5.0 as soon as Apple approves it. If you're running the free version of Mantis, buying Bibles from the web site does not change the version you are running. You're still running the free version.

Usually, Apple approves all our updates at the same time, but you never know what they're going to do. Hopefully, though within a day or two, the free version will be in sync with all the other versions.

If you purchase any of the paid versions (of which there are many) you would get 4.5 automatically. That version would recognize your other purchases and allow you to download them to that version.

Alternatively, you can just wait until Apple releases the 4.5.0 upgrade to the free version. We have no idea why they released some of the versions but not the free version. Hopefully, they'll fix this and release the free update soon.
