When selecting a word to highlight, the entire page highlights rather then waitng for the closing word to be selected before createing the highlight.
Are there any thoughts on what I may be doing in error or perhaps a fix?

We updated the NASS a week or two ago in order to fix a number of problems with highlighting. You might want to delete your NASS and download the current fixed version and see if that helps.
