Would you please provide a list of the meanings for the abbreviations used in the Strong's references (I'm using NASS). Some of these include:
contr.
prim. root
prim. vb.
prim. pron.
prim. word
usually rel.
perf. of
dim. from
of unc. or.
of for. or.
adv. of Heb. or.
refl. pron. from

Is there a list online somewhere that we can reference?

Thanks.

So:

primary root
primary verb
primary pronoun
primary word
usually related (here I'm not certain)
perfect of
diminutive from (also here I'm not entirely sure)
of uncertain origin
of foreign origin
adverb of Hebrew origin
reflexive pronominal form

If something does not fit, send me the abbreviation and the corresponding Strong number, where you found it, I'll correct my guess

BTW a good reference would be any Hebrew grammar, because you need to keep in mind that the Semitic languages are not 100% gramatically "compatible" with English or any other Indo-European language, Greek including (and Greek is, at least in some of its forms pretty close to Hebrew and Aramaic, at least what the grammar concerns).

Thanks. I was guessing at some of these. It looks like I'm going to have to brush up on my grammar rules to make sense of it all.

I found a website that has all the Strong's definitions spelled out completely (but slightly different):
