Swiping for previous/next chapter

I am running 4.4.0 on an iPhone 3G, v3.1. I can't seem to get the swiping left/right to change chapters to work. Is there a setting somewhere that I'm overlooking?

Sorry, but that feature was removed in version 4.3.0. We were unable to provide both cut and paste and chapter swipe together, so for now, swipe is gone. You will need to use the arrows at the top of the screen to change chapters.
