Are the developers doing anything about the speed of the program? It appears to take too much time when opening bibles and other functions. I don't mean to complain, but I also use Acrobible and actually prefer it when just trying to read or go to a peace of scripture, because it's so fast. But, when I want to really study I then use Mantis. I know there is more going on with Mantis than in Acrobible, but it just seems slow at times. I am using version 4. Which I believe to be a great improvement over version 3.

The upcoming 4.1 version, I believe, is faster when switching Bibles, and when doing certain other functions.

I'd also welcome increased speed in switching Bibles and displaying Strongs definitions. I believe there is a slight speed decrease between versions 3.1 and 4 - the 4 is slower.

I also find that opening the application takes too much time, as compared with other bible application.

This is quite inconvenient when I have to take notes during a sermon by exiting the application and going to Notes app to write my notes, and then resuming my bible reading by going back to Mantis Bible.

Strongly recommend a faster time in opening this application! May I know if it can be done in the next version?

Many thanks for this wonderful application!

I believe 4.1 is faster than 4.0.

Too bad the same can't be said for Apple's App approval process. :whistling:

I also have noted a slowdown in versions 4.0 and 4.1 from version 3. In fact, I can not keep up with the preacher as he moves from one reference to another because it takes so long to bring up a new book and/or chapter/verse. Hopefully the next version will be faster as I really like using Mantis. I do not want to go back to carrying my heavy paper bible to church on Sunday, but I might have to!
