When you press tools, and then the little Strong's symbol, the strong words change color. But in the older version, you could push the Strong's symbol and Strong's #'s showed up. And even when you push tools, then options and select numbers then done, it does not save that setting next time you hit tools then Strong's symbol.
It just takes more steps to get Strong's #'s now where if it would save your preference, it would make it a little easier.

I'm not sure what version you are using, or if you have a corrupt file or something, but that is not how things work in 4.2.0.

Tapping Tools, then tapping the strongs icon on the toolbar toggles strongs numbers on and off. Tapping Tools, Options allows you to select between strongs colors mode, underline mode, and numbers mode. That selection is saved permanently.

If this isn't happening for you -- make sure you're on 4.2.0. If you're still having a problem, you may need to reload the software, because something's not right.

Call me slow but I thought I was stuck with the strongs lines! Because of this thread I found the color option. I didnt even know you could change it! Thanks Mantis.

I deleted mantis and redownloaded it and it does not save lines, colors, or numbers permanently.
I have the iphone 3gs with mantis 4.2
Now this time instead of colors permanently appearing when you hit tools then strongs icon, lines appears every time I hit the strongs icon. Selecting numbers then pushing done works until you try to to hit the strong icon again and it goes back to showing lines again.
You told me this same thing when I discovered a bug about mantis would not load all the verses in a chapter, you kept saying I had a bad download and then you found out there was a bug causing this.
This time, I'm telling you, it is not saving strongs options permanently.
I've bought two versions of KJVS now for both of my iphones, I love the app. Just reporting a bug.

Ah, now I can duplicate what you are saying. I had been toggling between lines and colors, and both of those settings were saved just fine. It's numbers, and only numbers mode that doesn't get saved. I'll put in for a fix for the next version.
