I can make this crash occur every time.

  1. Start Mantis

  2. Tap Notes

  3. Open any Note

  4. Tap Done (upper-right)

  5. Tap Bookmarks

  6. App Crashes

As per instructions seen in forums, I deleted Mantis App and re-installed from App Store. The problem still occurs.

Device and Settings

  1. iPod Touch OS 3.1.1

  2. Mantis 4.4.0

Custom Settings

  • Sort bookmarks by - date

  • Sort notes by - date

  • Show help text - off

  • Check for updates - off

  • Reader font - Helvetica 11pt

  • Red lettering - off

  • Paragraph mode - on

  • Show triangle guides - on

  • Allow rotation - off

  • Show tips - off

  • Inline note editing - off

  • Volume Scroller - off (regular and full)

Thanks, this is very helpful. It took me a while to figure out that in step #3 you have to first tap Edit at the top, then tap a note to edit it. Once I did this, I can duplicate the problem.

I'm told this has already been fixed in 4.4.1, which we'll be beta testing in the next few days.

Thanks I thought I was doing something wrong, but now I know. I'm not having the problem within notes but the bookmarks. The bookmark will set within the folder I want. But when I go back to start it again the app closes and I have to open Mantis back up and start again. I haven't lost anything but the crashing is annoying. Thanks for the great program!

Yes, this was fixed in 4.5.0 (we changed the version number and sent this to Apple last week.)

Version 4.4.0 of Mantis Bible Study requires iPhone OS 3.0 or above. (Note: the iPod Touch also uses the iPhone OS, so this is applicable to both the iPhone AND the iPod Touch.) Here's the Apple page showing how to upgrade:
