Not sure if this has been mentioned, but since I installed the new Apple software, when turning to landscape, the font becomes HUGE. To the point where there are only a few lines available to be read. Does anyone else experience this?

I run the software on my 3Gs iPhone. I have the latest software revision for both the iPhone and Mantis. This only began when I downloaded the new OS from Apple. It does not matter the book, chapter or verse. It does seem to scale with font size. If I downsize the font, it will also downsize in landscape but still is far greater in size than the portrait mode. I had to change my font to 8 or 10pt to make lanscape usable, which makes portait very small. Hope this helps.

Have you tried this on the 4.8.6 Mantis release? I can't duplicate this issue on my iPhone 4.

I just downloaded your newest version, 4.8.7 and the issue still exists. So does the text jumping back to whatever verse you first opened to when you want to read a commentary or add a note. Too bad, I used to really like this program, now it stinks.

We can duplicate the problem with creating a note (this is fixed in the 4.8.8 version, currently in beta testing).

We cannot duplicate any problems with the fonts, and nobody else has reported this one. Have you tried to delete the app entirely, then downloading it fresh from the app store?

If I delete it entirely and re-download, do I lose all my Bibles and commentaries? Or is it just a matter of logging into my account with Mantis and it reloads? Do I need to do a back-up of some sort?

Use the Backup button in the bookmarks or notes screen to back up first. Then you can safely delete Mantis from your phone. When you reload it, all your purchases should automatically be marked as Ready to Download.

Thanks. tried it and nothing changed. I guess I'll just have to live with it. I have friends with the same phone/app, I'll see if they have experienced the same thing. I guess it's possibly the phone itself.

I finally had a chance to sit down and go through every setting and found the problem. It was the zoom setting under "accessibility" in the settings app. Somehow, it got changed, although it appears that is a setting for zooming upon a tap of the screen, my phone zoomed whenever I turned it to landscape. Its all good now. I want to apologize for discrediting your application. It truly is a great app, one that I will continue to use for a long time.

Wow. Thanks so much for taking the time to figure this out. If you like this sort of challenge, you might want to join our beta test team! We could use a good bug detective...

Part of what I do for a living is troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems as well as software test and de-bug. I would be interested in helping you develope a better product for the benefit of us all. Let me know what information you need from me,and I'd be glad to help.
