I recently had a lot of problem with the program crashing. I thought I was going to have to reinstall it. The problem seemed to start when I tried to re-arange some bookmarks. It wouldn't allow me to re-arange bookmarks. The folder that I was working in had an apostrophe in the name. I created a subfolder to that folder and wanted to move some verses to the subfolder. It wouldn't  move them. I decided to delete the bookmarks and create them again in the subfolder. But when I touched the verse number to create the bookmark, it gave the option to delete bookmark instead of creating it even though I didn't have one to delete. When I touched on the option to delete to see what happened, the whole chapter was gone. The only thing left was the chapter number in the upper left of the screen and the next chapter number in the right center. The buttons to change chapter and verse didn't work. The history button worked, but if I chose a verse the program would crash.

I restored my bookmarks from a previous backup. Sometimes this made things work again and sometimes it didn't. Now I noticed that I was able to add bookmarks to other folders, I think even to the folder with the apostrophe. But when I tried adding a bookmark to a subfolder of the folder with the apostrophe, the button changed to "delete bookmark" rather than "create bookmark."

I don't know if any of this is coincidence, but it is what I observed. I removed the apostrophe from the folder name and things seem to be back to normal.

Thanks for reporting this.  We have found and fixed this problem, so the next release (probably 4.0.1) will fix this.

In the meantime -- don't use an apostrophe in a folder name!
