I recently went to the IPhone App store and got the message that an update to 4.1 was available (along with about 11 other updates as I had not checked the app store recently). I then went ahead with the updates but once the updating process was finished I still have 4.0.0 according to both the splash screen and the about screen. My version is the ESV but in looking at the ESV version in the App store I notice that it still says it is 4.0.0. If I can't upgrade yet why did the update function for the Iphone show that an update was available? And how can I update?

That must have been a bug in the App Store, since the 4.1.0 ESV version is not yet available. Here's how you can upgrade now, though:

1. Go into your 4.0.0 ESV version and back up your bookmarks/notes using the Backup button in the bookmarks screen.
2. Tap the App Store icon on your iPhone and search for "Mantis" then locate and install the FREE 4.1.0 version of Mantis Bible Study.
3. Run the new 4.1.0 version you've installed, then go to the bookmarks screen and tap "Backup" then "Restore ALL" to restore your bookmarks/notes to the new version.
4. Go to the bookshelf in the new 4.1.0 version and tap "Check for Updates" / "Get Updates".
5. Download any purchased items. (Your ESV should show up automatically as "Ready to Download" along with anything else you've purchased.)
6. Delete the 4.0.0 ESV version from your iPhone.

It takes about 10 to 15 seconds after you start the 4.1.0 app for your purchased items to show up. It's also a good idea to restart the app right after running "Check for Updates".

Thank you. I backed up bookmarks as indicated and then looked for 4.1 the free version but the App store would not let me install as it said I already had it installed. So I decided to try deleting Mantis and then reinstall but the AP store still claimed I had 4.1 free installed and would not let me install. Then I tried turning my Iphone off an on. Still no luck.
Suggestions please?

Never mind with the old problem but now I have a new one. Apparently somehow the 4.1 version of the KJV had uploaded but the 4.0 version of the ES was also installed. When I discovered that I had two installations of Mantis and deleted the 4.0 installation I was then able to redownload all my purchased Bibles and commentaries and dictionaries except, for some reason for the NIV which was the last one I purchased. I purchased it on 3/25/09 at 7:46 PM. Should I email a copy of the receipt?

You just need to run "Check for Updates" then "Get Updates". Restart the app, and then the NIV will show up.

I just bought the NASB version (without strongs) it's version 4.0. Is there a 4.1 update for this version yet? It's not showing up on the app store updates.

You can download the free 4.1.0 version and it'll automatically recognize your NASB purchase and allow you to download it to that version.
