I'm trying to like the Triangle Guides, since they're faster for me than selecting Book>Chapter>Verse, most of the time Book>Chapter is fine, scrolling to the verse is easy enough.

They are a bit hard for me to use though. I have hard time tapping the triangles precisely. Once I've got them my finger wants to stray to the right, in which case the name of the book/chapter keeps changing however if I let go, the book doesn't actually change.

So here's my suggestions.
Make the triangles larger, or at least the hit-area - perhaps by 5 pixels in each direction.
Make the column wider - like 25% width - there's no reason to be compact, I'm holding triangle, I want to pick a book.
If my finger is no longer on the column, then hide the preview box that says what book I'm hovering on.

This is a good suggestion, but I'm afraid if we do this, I'll get an opposite suggestion telling us to make them smaller (because you can hit these by mistake sometimes when you're trying to tap on a strongs number or a text note.)

We'll look into this, though.

I have had just the opposite problem: I've turned off the triangle scrolls because I was inadvertantly hitting them when I didn't intend to. Maybe it's possible the scroll areas we are referring to are precisely the right size already since we are having problems each way? Just a thought!

At first I didn't like the Triangle Guides, but then I thought they might be a shortcut to Book>Chapter>Verse. But, now that I've turned them off, I do like it better that way. I can jump in/out Full Screen rather quickly anyway.

I think what I really want is to Skip Verse selection - maybe if that was an option?

Verse selection is just one extra tap, and for me, it's pretty crucial. We jump to specific verses in all our studies, and I want to go the exact position. The exact verse is then added to the history as well, which comes in handy.

I first thought that the triangle guides would be very useful, but I kept hitting the menu buttons at the top and bottom of the screen when I was trying to touch the triangle guides. A good solution for me was to turn off the triangle guides in regular mode and leave them on in full screen mode. With a quick double tap I am in full screen mode and then I have much greater success using the triangle guides. I don't mind the double tap to enter and exit full screen mode.
