I just purchased Mantis KJVS along with Thayers and BDB and for the most part I like it.

One thing I noticed though, was when I was at church and our Pastor was referencing a particular Strong's number, there was no quick way to jump to that number by just entering it. You instead have to go thru a few screens and keep narrowing it down and figuring out which section the number you are looking for lies within.

EXAMPLE:
The Pastor started talking about Strong's number H7112, so for me to get to that number in BDD, I have to do the following:
#1- Use bottom right triangle and choose BDB.
#2- Tap the top middle section (where the forward/back buttons are) to bring up the selection screen.
#3- "Figure out" that H7112 comes under H7001 and tap it.
#4- Do some more "figuring out" that H7112 comes under H7100-H7119 and tap it. Note that this step is very hard to do quickly!
#5- Tap H7112.
#6- Since it took so long to get to this number, start the process again since the Pastor has already moved onto a new number.

HOW IT SHOULD WORK:
It would be great if there was a text box that you could just directly type the number into, so that you could jump to that particular number directly without having to go thru all the selection screens. So the process would be this:
#1- Use bottom right triangle and choose BDB.
#2- Tap in the new text box that would be located in the top section beside the forward/back buttons.
#3- Type 7112 then enter and you are done!

This would be much, much, much, much, much, much faster when you know the number you want to jump to, and would not require any "figuring out" as to what range the number lies within.

The above would work for both BDB and Thayers.

Not sure how this would work with Strong's though. I don't see how to access Strong's definitions directly without accessing them directly from inline scripture reference. There should be someway to bring up the Strong's definitions separately as well, maybe by adding Strongs individually to the DICTIONARIES section as well when you purchase KJVS.

Mantis wasn't really designed to do this sort of thing, and it's very unusual for a pastor to reference strongs numbers without any sort of context. In every sermon I've ever listened to, if a pastor is talking about a strongs number, it's in the context of a particular verse we're studying. Basically, the sermon is about a word in a verse. Tap on that word to bring up the strongs definition right there -- this should leave you inside the verse -- keeping the context of the study.

You can also search for a strongs number by number from inside a strongs-based Bible by searching for, say, H7112. That'll bring up all verses that contain that strongs number. It doesn't tell you the exact word, though, so you have to kind of know what you're looking for.

Personally, to me the killer feature of the Mantis strongs implementation is the [Find] link that shows you all the verses containing the current strongs number. That really helps to find verses with the exact same Greek or Hebrew word. I use that feature to help understand the usage of a particular word throughout the Bible, giving precedence to the same author, so, say, it's more meaningful to me to see how Paul used a certain word in different books, vs. how a word was used by different authors.
