This one is probably asking too much. I used to use my PC for my study until I found Mantis for my phone. Now I find myself doing most of my study there. I had to start fresh with bookmarks, highlighting, and notes. Now my PC has some of my work and my phone has some of that plus other work that I haven't duplicated on my PC.
I love Mantis for my phone, but the PC has its place too, especially if doing a bit of typing with topical notes. The PC screen can be seen better if sharing a study with others. The PC could also hook up to a projector or printer. It would be a wonderful thing if there was a compatible program for the PC, whether the PC program was done by Mantis or by someone else. The programs wouldn't have to, or be able to, act the same way. But the important thing is that they could share and sync bookmarks, highlighting, and notes; perhaps automatically every time the program is booted. Perhaps they could sync from the backup area, or perhaps through a WiFi connection.

It would be a nice feature if the notes can be sync or backup or email to my PC! Thanks! |

I use Mantis now on my phone A LOT!!! I can take advantage of it far more often throughout the day then I ever could even a paper version but although I can sort of get my notes off, I cannot get my bookmarks off or work on the folders (that I know of). I really would like to have a desktop version. I have another program (which only runs on windows and now I have a Mac) which was my Bible program but now use Mantis almost exclusively. My old program had enhancements such as greek/hebrews/strongs/etc. support and more powerful search features. If you had those on a desktop version with the ability to manipulate folders, etc. store studies, I would pay for that. While I appreciate the 'free' Mantis, it cost someone something and I will gladly pay for a desktop companion. I have paid for other iPhone Bibles only to find that I use Mantis far more. |

If you want a pc version, you should probrably look into www.e-sword.net. I've been using this resource for many years. Best of all it's free. |

I think this thread was referring to a desktop version of the Mantis software that integrates with existing Mantis resources and bookmarks and notes created in the iPhone version. This is something we are considering. |

ONE MORE CUSTOMRE FOR A MAC DESKTOP VERSION HERE! Count men in. What a fantastic desktop application Mantis would make. It's one of the reasons I'm truly hoping for an Apple tablet to be created soon. Mantis Bible Study touchscreen and book-sized would be absolutely WONDERFUL! Syncing my notes/bookmarks/highlights/volumes between my iPhone and my Laptop/tablet would be a game-changer. Have credit card, will travel! - Michael |

Nowadays, thanks to mantis study bible, I get this depressed feeling everytime I log into e-sword or faith database. Not suicide depression, but that kind of depression you get as a little boy when you tilt your glass up for a final swig and realize there's no more milk in it. :( They just aren't as efficient. An exact port of the Mantis Study Bible intrerface into a desktop window (hopefully vista compatible) would be awesome! Any news on this front, burggraf? |

All I can say is we are still considering it. If we do it, we would probably do an almost exact port, so it works exactly the same on the desktop as it does on the iPhone. In addition, the goal would be to sync notes between the iPhone and the desktop automatically. |

I want to expand my Mantis Bible Study resources, but will not do so until there is a fully compatible, automatically syncing version for PC. |
