Hi, I was just wondering how the new 3.0 OS was going to help improve any of your developments with your products.

There are some great things in 3.0 that'll make Mantis even better. But it won't be out for a few months yet, so we'll all have to wait.

Hi all,
OS 3.0 for ITouch is available today (17 June). I would be interested in hearing feedback from the developers and users as to experience with compatability between Mantis 4.1 and OS 3.0.
Kind regards,
CJ

Mantis works with 3.0 just fine (I'm using it myself.) Cut and paste do not work in the main reader screen at this time. However, if you go to the Analyze Verse screen you can copy text from that page. You can paste into notes, I believe, too.

Mantis does not work with 3.0 on my phone. It doesn't load beyond the splash screen.

So far i have had no problems with Mantis 4.1 and OS 3.0 on the ITouch (32Gb, 5Gb free) Splash screen runs about 6 sec followed by 1-2 sec for text to come up.

Is it just me or is OS 3.0 much slower? It seems like each new screen freezes for a few seconds before it will scroll. More often than not now when I scroll up or down or right or left I inadvertantly select a Strongs word which tries to open while the screen is trying to move. Its locked the program a couple times.

On the plus side I really like the cut & paste.

I upgraded to the iPhone 3G S; which has a faster processor.
Mantis is faster than ever.
I have no lag whatsoever.

I skip the splash screen and the progam loads in 1-2 seconds.
Once in the program there is virtually no delay.

I have heard that the iPhone runs more slowly when it is restored from backup after installation of the 3.0 firmware.
If you are using an iPhone 2G or 3G and restored from backup you might want to restore and set it up as a new iPhone.
Hopefully that might help.

Does the menu bars get displaced on anyone else's iPhone when you rotate to landscape positon?

Yea, last Sun. I noticed that after some rotations my menu bars occasionally disappeared. I think fooling around with it made them come back up. Also the corners have been slow to transition when rotating and lock up sometimes. I'm using 4.0 NASS with 3G iPhone running 3.0. I may try transferring everything over to the free 4.1 to see if there are any improvements

Hi,
How did you "skip the splash screen". My ipod is a 2nd gen 16GB just upgraded to 3.0 and it is so so slow....

The software is great but its really sluggish. Please help...

Menu bars will disappear any time you double-tap the screen to go into "full-screen" mode. Double tap to enter full-screen mode, double-tap again to exit full-screen mode.

The first time you double-tap in the app, a message pops up explaining this, but you must have missed it.

Last Sunday, the 4.2.0 version of Mantis was released. This should provide a big improvement over your 4.0.0 NASS version.
