I just checked iTunes for application updates and got version 4.3

Yes, we're very excited that Apple has released our 4.3.0 version!

However, if you're using one of the branded versions, such as "Mantis ESV Bible Study" you may have to wait a bit longer. Our 15 branded versions have not been released by Apple yet.

If you're not running the free version of Mantis, you have 2 options for upgrading to 4.3.0:

1. Just wait until Apple releases all the 4.3.0 updates.

2. Download and install the free version of 4.3.0. It should recognize any purchases you've made and mark them "Ready to Download."

If you choose option #2, you'll want to run the "Backup" command from inside your current version (under Bookmarks or Notes). Then once you install the free version, you can run "Backup, Restore" to restore all your bookmarks, notes, etc.

You can probably ignore that last message. It looks like Apple is starting to approve all the versions of Mantis today, so within a day or two, all versions can be upgraded.

mark, 4.3 is consistently crashing when switching to Bookmarks/Notes view. Also, it crashes when changing to another translation

I downloaded and use the free version with my translations (about 5). Already deleted completely from both iPhone and iTunes twice, and the bug is still reproducing.

I had also bought Mantis with Message in the past and I just installed that. On a clean install, it crashes after switching from MSG to KJV -- this before playing with any of the settings or re-downloading any other translations from my shelf.

It seems like there is still some data in the iPhone left after a complete deletion? Because I can still see my username (pomor) in Options, which I thought wouldn't be there since I deleted from iPhone and re-installed via a fresh download from iTunes.

Just another note -- I updated my Mantis on my other device -- iPod touch, and it is doing the same thing -- when going to the Bookmark or Notes section, the app crashes and exits. So, it's not isolated to just one device. I don't know if my account has anything to do with it, but we will talk more via the contact page.

4.3 won't even open. I've updated on two of my iPhones and both just crash. There is definately something wrong with this update.

It looks like there's a problem with iPhone OS 3.0.x and that updating to 3.1.x solves the issue.

This is most distressing for us, since 3.1.0 was thoroughly tested over months by dozens of beta test users, and none reported this issue.

Anyhow, please let us know if updating to iPhone OS 3.1 fixes this for you.

Why not? There are known bugs in the 3.0 release, some of which we've experience here. Is there a technical problem that prevents you from upgrading?
