Happy Thanksgiving!!

Have you considered adding an icon for "Copy Verse?"
I think a 1-touch copy verse option would very useful and much easier than defining a range of text.

The copy verse icon could be added to the other icons (e.g. Mark, Analyze, Note, eMail) or perhaps the icons could be customized like BYOSB.

Thanks.

We've considered this, but we're not sure if it's worth adding an extra icon to accomplish something that's already possible in a more flexible way with the standard OS functions.

Using regular copy paste you can copy part of a verse,a whole verse, multiple verses, include personal notes, include translators notes, etc.

The present feature is great; as you said, it provides great flexibility to copy portions of a verse or multiple verses.
I definitely would not like to lose this capability.

However a copy verse icon is so fast and easy.
For me, to get my big finger on the little circle and get it to the precise spot has always been a bit tricky.

Frequently I want to insert just a verse into a journal or into a document and the process is a little cumbersome.
Also, a copy verse icon provides another nice advantage over the standard OS copy/paste in that it also copies the Book/Chapter/Verse.
That means I also do not have to take the time to type in the Book/Chapter/Verse.

Since we can adjust the size of the icons, perhaps the extra icon would not be problematic.

Anyway, thanks for even considering this feature.

Just a thought...
What about an alternate set of icons that are available when the verse number is pressed and HELD.

Even better, why not make these icon bars customizable?
We would then have more commands at our fingertips; exactly where we want.

Thanks,

Jeff

We'll consider this option for an upcoming update.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but this feature is really the only thing missing from Mantis in my opinion. Mantis is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else in every other department in my opinion. I use this feature heavily by using blueletterbible.com's built in verse copy feature.

While waiting for the Jelly Bean update to the Android beta version I discovered that OliveTree has the function as well. But otherwise I can't bring myself to use OT at all compared to Mantis. You guys are just that much better.

In all reality I just need to know where to send money to for this feature. I would gladly pay for it!!!

Thanks to the Mantis team for the best software out there.

In a few weeks, the new Android version will have much more advanced verse selection and copy features.
