Your software and applications are so good I hate to even request something. I use NASS mostly and was my first purchase. I would like the referance that comes at the side of a good study bible to help Coralate historical or archaeological background; others translate or interpret the text more clearly; some define words and doctrines; and many refer you to other passages that relate to the same subject. The only way I can get any help is changing to NIV, which ends up driving me nuts after doing it over and over. Please consider adding this feature to NASS.
Thank you for all your hard work you and your team does, yah!

Please watch our video here on the web site about the BYOSB (Build Your Own Study Bible) feature of Mantis. Just click on Support then Tutorial Videos, then select the BYOSB video.

You can build exactly what you want, and have all the features you need available just by tapping a verse number. You can buy just the resources you like to make a custom study Bible.

My personal suggestions would be:

TSK (Treasury of Scriptural Knowledge) for cross references

For a good commentary, try the new NSB (Nelson Study Bible), IVP (Intervarsity Press), or any of the others that catch your eye.

In addition, if you want to use the NIV (or any other translation) you can get to those from inside the BYOSB -- just tap the verse number then tap the [NIV] link. Once the NIV text is opened, you can view it's cross-references as well.

Just tap the verse number again to close everything.

I have watch videos.
I have on my iPod touch nass, niv, nlt, web, drb, kjvr, kjv, kjva, wbs. Accb, darb, jcac, pnt, mcge, tsk. Absm, ebs, fbd, scrf, tntt, wfib. Simp, aog, botz, rp01, rp02, rp03, rp04, rp05, rp06, ihs, morr.
My question is: can the feature that is in niv with the * be added to nass. That feature is like my home study bible with the side bars. I am using tsk and build your own bible very heavy. But sometimes just the * in niv is perfect for what I am doing. My main bible is nass.

Thank you for you application and your inputs!

The cross references (*) in the NIV came with that version of the Bible from the publisher. We only provide what we get from the publisher.

We can contact the NASB/NASS publisher and ask if they have another version with cross references included, though, but I'm not sure if they have one available in electronic format.
