Congratualtions on an excellent product. It's been a blessing to my study life since I got it. I was wondering if the notes feature could be enhanced into a stripped down word processor (with ability for tabs, bullets and basic word processing functions) so you can read your bible and prepare your message outline all in one place. And with the iPad actually preach from it right from Mantis Bible.

We are currently working on a future version of Mantis that will work on different platforms (PC, Mac, Linux, as well as the iPhone, iPad, and Android.) This version will have an extensive notes editor with the features you describe. I'm not sure yet whether the advanced editor will work on the mobile devices, but it'll definitely work on the desktop platforms, and your notes will automatically sync to your mobile devices in the new version(s) of Mantis.

What would be great with the notes for me is the ability to have a general notes as well as verse notes, so that I could be writing notes for a sermon taking the info from all the various sources, naturally the ability to email the note would be vital so that I can copy and paste the info onto my computer. Also the ability to highlight text and copy into writing notes would be amazing as well (saves me writing it then typing it in etc).

Its great news that further versions for more platforms are being worked on, cant wait for the mac version.

The iPhone version of Mantis already does "global notes", that is, notes that are not attached to a verse, albeit in a very limited way. Just tap the note icon at the top of the notes screen to create one.

The new version, however, that we're working on takes notes to a whole new level, especially on the desktop, where you can have a notepad open with your sermon notes right next to the scripture(s) you are studying.
