I've noticed that all the deuterocanonical books are missing in the italian translation you provide. And it is strange as it is the CEI translation which includes them.
Is there any specific reason why they are not there? Any plan to add them in the future?

Thanks,
Silvo

Actually, the books are really there -- you just can't see them yet. A "Get Updates" will perform an update to the book list that'll allow them to appear in the near future. (Probably next week.)

Ok, that means that I'm completely sold to your software....

It's great to post several questions, feature requests and to hear within horurs that the features are either already there or they will be in the very near future.........

Ops, I just got the ESV bible from the AppStore, and the italian translation has disappeared.... (meaning that it is not amond the downloadable bibles, whereas all other versions I've purchased are there)

What should I do?

I have re-downloaded the free version, and the italian translation is missing also there!

Something is strange...

Sorry, my fault...
When I restarted the iPod the italian version came back in the ready to download section.

Many Thanks for the great software,
Silvo

Just a tip: when you re-install the software, the first thing you should do is a "Get Updates". This refreshes the list of volumes with the latest list, which is always changing.

Yes, I've done it, but - don't know why - the list had to be updated more than once to get all the texts.

When you first do the "Get Updates" it just adds the new items to the list of volumes. Then, in a second pass, it's got to go out and figure out what you've purchased and mark those items and move them to the "Read to Download" section of your bookshelf. That might explain why it took two passes (or sometimes restarting the program after a "Get Updates" helps.)

Hi,

Last week I was prompted to re-download the italian bible, but the deuterocanonical books are not there. Are you planning for another update soon?

Thanks,
Silvo

Do you have news on this front?

I appreciate that you are quite busy with the new texts, but if you need help with this (as well as with the italian version mistakes) I would happily help you.

We're still swamped, but this is in the queue to be completed. I wish there was some way you could help, but at this point, there's nothing you could do for us. Thanks so much for the offer, though!

It's ok.
Just send me an email whenever you are ready for me to check the translations.

Are there news about the italian translation? Corrections, searchability and deuterocanonical books?
I understand that it can't be in your priorities, this is why I'd love to help you with it....

Hi Mark,

I know it could be annoying, but - please - update the italian version. Both the missing verses, and the deuterocanonical books.
Just to name a common problem: most of the psalms with a title are missing all or part of the first verse....

As I said, since this translation is free, I can't expect you to devote much effort on it. But - if you accept my help - I can reformat a correct version in whatever format is needed for Mantis (I do some Perl programming - not much - but should be fairly enough for the task).

Thanks very much,
Silvo
