Sometimes this happens a lot and at other times it seems to work find. Some times when I tap a verse the chapter jumps to the first of the chapter and if I tap one of my bibles or commentaries it will jump back to the first verse for every tap. Requiring each time to find the verse I'm trying to study on. Sometimes it will do this and sometimes it won't.

I have a similar issue it sound like, since the new apple software was installed. When I go to a chapter and verse and begin studying, if I scroll down the page and open a commentary or something else not in the first verse I opened the page to, it jumps back to the first verse. Highly annoying and Iactually went back to using hardcopiy material because of it.

I know on my ipod touch, if you touch just above book or chapter (dead center top, where my time displays) , that tells it to go all the way back to number 1 verse, which in normal. If you touch the right corner that is verse scroll, but it will tell you that, also the corner gray marks can be turned off or "show triangle guides" can be toggled off and still function ok.

It sounds like we are describing something much different than that. Let me give you an example of what I now experience: Let say I open up Mantis to Romans 12:9. I get down to verse 14 and want to open a commentary. When I tap the verse number(14), the page jumps back to verse 9. I then have to scroll down again to verse 14, which is now open to view extras(versions, commentaries, etc.). If I then tap on a commentary, it will again jump to verse 9, where I again have to scroll down to get to verse 14 where the commentary is now open. It will do this, jump to the first verse opened to no matter where I start. If I open to verse 1, it will jump to verse 1 upon any attempted use of study tools in the following verses. At leats that's what I'm experiiencing. It is intermittent though, but only began with Apple's new OS installed.

This should be resolved in 4.8.6, which was released this past week.

I just downloaded 4.8.7 and the problem still exists.

Opening commentaries and other translations is fixed. Creating a note in "inline notes" mode still has the problem. This is addressed in 4.8.8.

4.8.8 is in beta test now and should be sent to Apple next week.
