Just began trying out Mantis on my iPhone as I move from my Palm-based PDA of 5+ years. Great job on the product, by the way.

It'd be absolutely great if Notes and Bookmarks could be categorized under (and even moved to later) a named category defined by the user, perhaps with a line or two of abstract text under the category name to decribe the category, also defineable by the user. Once you define a significant  number of notes and bookmarks, the linear lists get pretty unwieldy.  Moreover, creating topical categories would help me group and find the bookmarks I'm looking for much faster.

Keep up the great work!

That exact feature has been on the drawing board from the very beginning.  I'm not sure if it'll make the 2.0 release, but if not, definitely in 2.1.  I personally need this feature, as I take sermon notes, Bible study notes, teaching notes, etc.

You may be saying the same thing, but....

The one feature that is really stopping me from making this my #1 program is the ability to place bookmarks into some ty pe of folder system.  For example, if somebody has a question about the Law, Salvation by Grace, forgiveness, etc., I want a folder that contains only those bookmarks to make it easier to sort through.

Thanks!!!  SBG

I totally agree.  Let me see if we can sneak this into version 2.0.  If not, it's definitely in the very next release.  I want folders for my own personal use, but not necessarily topical, as you describe, but for different Bible studies, sermon notes, and lesson preparation, etc.

I have 3.1 which of course has folders but you cannot store notes in folders, they are embedded in the texts. I like them embedded but there are time when a note not linked to a text could be stored in a folder for description or instruction. That would be a big help. Also ordering them in custom ways not necessarily alphabetical.

4.1, currently in beta, has notes for folders. User sorting of notes and bookmarks isn't available yet, though.
