It would be nice if you could like words from an english bible, to say a greek dictionary that is provided, it would save a step in the process from having to start in the engligh version, go to Greek then to the greek dictionary.

I'm not sure I fully understand your suggestion, but I think we have this feature covered already in the 4.0 software release (not quite released yet, but should be available any day...hopefully!)

If you have a strongs-based Bible loaded (i.e. KJVS, or NASS) then tapping a word will bring up it's strongs definition.  If you have a strongs-based dictionary loaded, i.e. TGD (Thayer's) or BDB (Brown, Driver, Briggs') it's definition will also be available with a single tap.

In the new "Analyze Verse" section you can tap on a word and look up that word in any dictionary.

I think what they might be referring to is what is called an Englishman's search in another Bible program I had for my PC. This type of word search is used to find NOT other places where that word is found, but rather places where it's root greek or hebrew word is found no matter how it was translated there in English. The purpose of this type of search is to overcome translator bias. Many words have synonyms and which one is used depends on the translator. This type of search is a great help to serious students.

This is best accomplished with one of our "strongs-based" Bibles. The NASS, KJVS, and CWS all have strongs numbers embedded in the text. If you tap a strongs number to get the definition, then tap "[Find]", you will get a list of every place in the Bible where that strongs number is used. You can even tap to preview any and all the references that are displayed. It's really the most powerful study tool I've ever seen (but you have to note my bias here, of course. :))

To see a video of this in action, go to our "Support / Video Tutorials" page and look at the NASS video.
