Hello,
I Would like to see a Notepad Style option for taking notes, often i like to take notes when at church and i dont like having to change applications to take notes for each sermon. Would be nice to see a space dedicated to take notes in notebook style.
In Advanced Thanks!

This is currently our #1 development priority, and we're already working on it. |

May I suggest if the notes taken can be backup or sync to my PC or online? That will be lovely.... |

We currently have an Online Note Editor in beta testing (this is an open beta, so if you have an a free account on our web site, you will automatically have access to it.) This allows you to back up your notes from the phone to our server, then edit the notes on our web site. You can cut and paste from a word processor, then restore the notes back to your phone. Be careful, though -- this is a beta, so there are bound to be some bugs. |

Hearing that you say it is a 1st priority feature! I think a notebook style notes is very important! The current "notes" is really an extension for "bookmarks". Maybe you can consider to combine the existing "notes" and "bookmarks" together, i.e.. allowing BOTH Categorization and Editable Description for individual verses! Then, a REAL notes feature is necessary! Here we should be able to write notes (e.g. during a sermon, and sorted by Dates), and then even categorize it accordingly. Currently to edit a note is somehow difficult, e.g. need 3 clicks to edit the text. Hope that a REAL notes feature can cater our weekly (if not daily) needs of jogging notes during bible classes or sermons. Besides, hoping that the search features can search notes with traditional Chinese! |

4.1.0 allows notes not attached to a verse. In 4.2.0, we're considering merging notes and bookmarks. We're not sure about this yet, though. |

Allowing notes not attached to a verse is a cool feature. Can I have categories or auto-date stamp (or sorted by dates)? I hope it can support features like gNotes or Magicpad/Writepad (i.e. other 3rd party note-taking utility). This is just "wish" for me...though I think more features are better! If I create notes in 4.0 and backup to server, can I have problem in using 4.1 when the above feature is included? e.g. can I sync all my previous notes and the future notes with the server easily? Many thanks. When will 4.1 be released? Looking forward to this...

4.1 has folders for notes, and the ability to sort by date, but it doesn't display the date the note was created yet. The online note editor should still work with 4.1 but has not been extensively tested yet. |

I just used the online notes editor to transfer all of my notes from another bible program. It worked well. The online editor is a powerful tool. |

Thanks. Do you use 4.0 or 4.1 to transfer the notes? I hope that notes in sermon can be taken more easily with the feature of 4.1. Cos we can directly press the scripture notes (e.g. Jn 1:1, or Mark 2:3) to go to a bible verse. When will this feature be released? |

I love notes! I also love the idea of being able to sort notes by dates instead of scripture, and assign to my category. I notice that in my notes, my scripture (e.g. Jn 1:1) can be hyperlinkable to the original verse. This is a cool feature esp for taking notes during a sermon and then re-reading the notes and scriptures in a fast and simple way! Great! Pls let me know once the above notes features can be added! |

I noticed in 4.1 there is global notes. However, how can I upload or backup my global notes? Is it the same method before? I tried but it seems no global notes can be backup in my account on web (https://mantisbible.com/MyAccount/MyNotesEditor/tabid/125/Default.aspx). Is it because I have Chinese in my notes? May I know the correct way to backup/update my global notes? |

Global notes can be backed up and restored. They cannot be edited using the "My Notes Editor" yet - we have not updated that program yet. |

I was hoping that I would be able to use the Global Notes to put in memory verse links - active links that open the verses I want to memorize. But it looks like there can be only one Global Note per note folder? |

No, you should be able to add an unlimited number of global notes per folder. |

May I know when "My Notes Editor" can be updated? It will be useful when this can allow uploading of my notes made on my PC (that inturn I transfer from my old palm bible devices)... |

We will be updating this in May. The "My Notes Editor" works now, for the most part, though. Give it a try -- but be sure to keep a backup copy on your PC just to be safe. |

Greetings I just bought this app. I've been using touchword but I Really wanted NASB. I too like the sermon notes option. And the ability to email a note I took in church to myself or someone else. Another bible app has this feature. I almost bought that one instead but I wanted NASB so I chose yours. So. Emailing notes is my wish list. Oh yeah. If you could add an official sound file that says, "Roy is listening to the sermon and taking notes!" that would be nice. I think people think I'm texting in church or playing a game. LOL. |
