I am using the NIV Study Bible. I can't highlight anything more than one word. When I try to highlight a sentence or paragraph, the text just scrolls. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

First of all, just so nobody gets confused, we don't offer the "NIV Study Bible" yet. We only offer the NIV version of "Mantis Bible Study". We will be releasing the NIV Study Notes soon, but they're not available yet.

To highlight a sentence or a paragraph, open the highlight bar and select a color. Then tap the first word in the selection you want to highlight followed by the last word in the selection. The entire passage should change to the selected color.

If you make a mistake and want to erase a section of highlighting, just select the WHITE color from the highlight bar and tap the first and last word you want to "clear".

I'm glad to know that there is now a way to easily highlight an entire verse/passage without having to select each word! However, I have NEVER been able to get highlighting to work reliably. Even if I highlight the entire verse as instructed by burggraf, the first word fails to highlight! If I reopen the highlight bar and select the first word again and highlight it, it losses the highlight as soon as I close the highlight bar. In fact, I encounter this frustration every time I highlight several consecutive words. There's always a word or two that will not save the highlight. Sometimes after five or six times of trying, I can get one extra word to save the highlight but most of the time, the word(s) will not highlight no matter what I do. This has been a constant issue since I first started using Mantis Bible Study 1.5 years ago! :(

This seems to be the only buggy feature of this otherwise fantastic software! I wish there was fix for it. :ermm:

Okay, I'm just now seeing the video for Version 4.9.1 and didn't know about the Tap and Hold/HighLite option. It works much better and consistently than the original method!
I'll have to start visiting the site whenever there's a new update because I had no idea some of these new and fantastic features existed!!

Kudos to the development team at making this some of the best Bible software available!!!!
